A multi-award-winning Scottish-American jewellery designer, mum to two young girls, wife to an Oregon cowboy, yoga lover, nature addict, motorcyclist and Scotch whisky aficionado.
Maeve's passion for jewellery began at age 15 when trying out ring-making with a jeweller friend. After two degrees in jewellery (including a Masters Degree in Goldsmithing from the Royal College of Art in London), Maeve set out to explore the world through the eyes of a jeweller, teaching and designing across Europe, Australia, America and Asia. She spent three years as Head Designer for Domino in England, the largest Platinum jewellery manufacturer in Europe, specialising in luxury casting and the art of designing distinctive engagement rings with wide appeal.
Inspired by her experiences and the joy of creating beautiful objects that make people happy, Maeve founded MaeVona in New York City to bring her bridal jewellery vision to America. Offering fresh, delicate designs influenced by her Celtic heritage and named after Scottish wildflowers, towns or islands, MaeVona became a sought-after designer brand sold at high-end retailers across North America. MaeVona has introduced some of the most iconic engagement rings to the American and European markets in the last decade, and enjoys a dedicated social media following with fans who appreciate great design and attention to detail. Brides-to-be love MaeVona’s affordable luxury - uniquely designed, beautifully made and practical enough to last a lifetime.
Maeve has received numerous design awards, including three from the Royal Society for the Arts in London, four from the American JCK Jewelers Choice Awards, plus the prestigious Town & Country COUTURE Award in Las Vegas, USA.
