Please read the “Terms and Conditions” listed below carefully, as by using this website you agree to be bound by them. These terms and conditions govern your use of, and any purchase from, the MaeVona UK website, via the website or by phone or in person, and constitute an agreement between you and MaeVona UK.

MaeVona UK reserves the right to change or modify any of these terms and conditions or any policy or guideline of this site at any time, and in its sole discretion. Product Availability and Pricing

You may choose to view prices and complete your order in the following currencies on the www.maevona.co.uk website: British Pound Sterling (GBP).

Because we receive a high volume of orders, sometimes an item can become out of stock before we are able to post an updated product listing to the website. Should this happen, we will notify you personally and offer you, as an alternative, a different product which is similar or almost identical in its grade to the original. You will also be given the option to cancel your order, should you find that none of our alternatives are suitable.

As we offer over a large range of gemstones and diamonds, it is possible that data (such as prices) may be inaccurately displayed on our website due to a system or typographical error. While we make every attempt to minimise the occurrence of such errors, we cannot guarantee they will not occur. We reserve the right to correct any errors as they occur and we can not honour sales based on inaccurate or erroneous prices. Should the listed price be lower than its actual price, we will attempt to contact you before shipping the product and then, based on your instructions, we will either cancel the order or charge you the revised amount. If the order has already been shipped, by these terms you agree to either return the product or pay the difference between the actual and charged prices.

MaeVona UK prices are also subject to change without prior notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause; our prices are affected by the worldwide supply and demand of precious metals and gems and changes are often abrupt and unexpected.

Price Reductions

At MaeVona UK, we pride ourselves on our value-for-money proposition. For the vast majority of orders, the price you see on our website is the lowest possible price we can offer. For this reason most of our prices are final and not open to negotiation. We do however sometimes run special promotions through the use of promotional codes (or other means) to reward loyal or returning clients and for larger orders or for specific diamonds we may be able to offer an additional discount.

Payment Methods

For your convenience, we offer the following payment methods:

  • Credit and Debit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and Visa Debit. We reserve the right to request additional security information such as proof of ID and address before shipping an order.
  • Bank wire/EFT

Sales Tax/VAT

For clients in the USA, sales tax may be applied depending on the State to which you request your purchase to be shipped. Please note that the tax will appear in the shopping basket only after you have entered your shipping destination and the tax shown before is an estimate based on your current location.

For all other clients, where value added tax (VAT), or Goods and Services tax (GST) is not 0%, it will be applied to your order. This VAT amount is calculated based on the shipping destination of your order, for example, this tax in the UK this is currently 20%.

Orders made in the UK on the Maevona UK website are ineligible for the VAT Retail Export Scheme because Maevona UK is an internet-only retail company and is ineligible to participate. However for customers who wish to pick up their order from our office, we will be able to assist you with the VAT Retail Export Scheme if you have already applied to it.

Returns policy for multi-diamond purchases or for rare diamonds

Our mission is to assist you, our customers, in choosing the right diamond or jewellery piece. If you would like to make a return, all returns are subject to our return policy. It is possible that from time to time, a small minority of our diamonds or jewellery, when delivered, may not be exactly what you expected or required and therefore we guarantee you the opportunity to exchange or return any purchase within 30 days subject to the conditions set out in the return policy, with the exception of the more rare diamonds described below.

Some diamonds on the MaeVona UK website may be rarer than others. For these diamonds we may not be able to accept a return. Again, for your peace of mind we will always notify you when we cannot honour our returns policy before shipping out the products to you and ask you to accept the revised terms and conditions.

Policy on Ethically Sourced Diamonds

At Maevona UK, we ensure our diamonds are ethically sourced by only sourcing diamonds from suppliers and manufacturers that comply with the United Nations Kimberley Process.

International Shipments

Purchases made using the Maevona UK website (www.maevona.co.uk) may be shipped to locations worldwide. We accept credit card payments for most countries but for a few countries we can only accept wire transfer payments.

Delivery and Insurance

All our shipments are fully insured and sent via FedEx (up to £30,000). This insurance protects your order from the time it leaves us to the moment it arrives at your door. For added security, we may request you confirm your identity prior to shipping your order and a signature will be required upon delivery of your MaeVona UK order. Please make arrangements to be available at the shipping destination to sign off after receiving the parcel or alternatively specify that you would like to collect your order from the courier’s office during checkout. We accept no liability for loss, consequential or other, where the terms and conditions of the carrier are not met.

Alternate Shipping Addresses

If it is more convenient for you, we can also ship your order to an address other than your billing address. However, as a security precaution, to do this we request that your alternate shipping address is registered with your credit card company. This precaution protects both MaeVona UK and our customers from fraudulent charges to your credit card.

Diamond Grading Certificates

For all orders of loose diamonds and diamond jewellery (where there is at least one diamond of 0.20ct or larger) we always ship the product(s) to you with an accompanying GIA diamond certificate. These certificates are grading reports created by diamond grading experts at highly-respected GIA diamond laboratories around the world. They contain a detailed description of all the characteristics of the specific diamond. We can accept no liability for the accuracy of the GIA report.

As it is expensive to replace a diamond grading report, we require each diamond certificate to be sent with the diamond should you choose to make a return. If you do not include the diamond grading report with your return, you will be charged a replacement fee of £250.

Our Returns Policy

MaeVona UK proudly offers all customers the opportunity to return any product within 30-days from the day their order has shipped – to receive a refund. If you wish to cancel or return your purchase please contact us to make arrangements.
